Returns & Claims Policy

At Pallet Plaza Liquidation, we stand behind the accuracy of the liquidation lots we sell. Our inventory consists primarily of customer returns, overstock, shelf-pulls, and other liquidation merchandise. Because liquidation inventory is sold as-is and may contain items in varying conditions, we do not accept returns simply because a buyer changes their mind or is dissatisfied with the normal condition of individual items.

However, if there is a significant issue with your order that is our responsibility, we will work with you to make it right.

This policy should be reviewed together with our Shipping Policy and Warranty Policy.

What We Cover

We accept claims for issues that materially affect the lot you purchased, including:

  • Freight or Transit Damage – The shipment arrives damaged and the damage is properly documented on the Bill of Lading at the time of delivery.

  • Incorrect or Wrong Lot – You receive a materially different liquidation lot than the one you ordered.

  • Misrepresented Condition – The overall condition of the lot is materially different or substantially worse than what was represented in the listing.

  • Defective Delivery – The lot arrives in a condition that is non-functional or unusable beyond what was reasonably disclosed in the listing.

  • Material Shortage – Pallets or other handling units included in the shipment are missing from the delivered load.

Approved claims are handled at no cost to the customer, with no restocking fee. Depending on the circumstances, Pallet Plaza Liquidation may provide a replacement lot, partial refund, or full refund at our discretion.

Important Claim Deadlines

There are two separate reporting deadlines depending on the type of claim.

Freight Damage – Within 48 Hours

If your shipment arrives with visible freight or transit damage, the damage must be documented on the Bill of Lading (BOL) at the time of delivery.

You must also notify Pallet Plaza Liquidation within 48 hours of delivery.

Once a shipment is signed for without damage being noted, the carrier may no longer be responsible for the damage and a freight claim may not be available.

All Other Claims – Within 30 Days

For incorrect lots, materially misrepresented condition, defective delivery, or other covered issues, contact us within 30 days of delivery.

Claims submitted after the applicable deadline may not be eligible for a refund, replacement, or other resolution.

What We Do Not Accept

Because our merchandise is liquidation inventory sold as-is, the following are not eligible for return:

  • Change-of-Mind Returns – All sales are final unless the issue falls under a covered claim described in this policy.

  • Buyer’s Remorse – We do not accept returns because a buyer no longer wants the merchandise or expected a different result.

  • Exchanges or Swaps – We do not offer exchanges. A covered claim may be resolved with a replacement lot, partial refund, or full refund at our discretion.

  • Normal Liquidation Variance – Individual items within a customer-return, overstock, shelf-pull, or as-is lot may be untested, incomplete, worn, damaged, or non-functional. These conditions are inherent to liquidation merchandise and are not, by themselves, grounds for returning an entire lot.

  • Buyer-Caused Damage – Merchandise that has been damaged after delivery by the buyer is not eligible for return.

  • Used, Resold, or Materially Altered Merchandise – Lots that have been substantially used, resold, dismantled, altered, or otherwise changed from their delivered condition may not be eligible for a claim.

  • Unreported Freight Damage – Freight damage that was not noted on the BOL at delivery or reported to us within 48 hours.

  • Late Claims – Claims that are not reported within 30 days of delivery.

Understanding the As-Is Nature of Liquidation Merchandise

Liquidation merchandise is sold as-is because the inventory is typically sourced from customer returns, overstock, shelf-pulls, and other secondary-market channels.

The discounted pricing of liquidation inventory reflects the fact that merchandise may be:

  • Untested

  • Used or previously opened

  • Missing accessories or components

  • Damaged or worn

  • Non-functional

  • In mixed condition

When you purchase a liquidation lot from Pallet Plaza Liquidation, you are purchasing the lot with an understanding of these inherent variables.

Our return policy is designed to protect customers when there is a material issue with the lot itself or an error on our part, rather than guarantee that every individual item in an as-is liquidation lot will be functional or resalable.

An occasional non-working, damaged, incomplete, or otherwise imperfect item within an as-is liquidation lot does not automatically qualify the entire lot for a return.

Any estimated retail value, potential resale value, item count, or similar information provided in connection with a lot is an estimate only and is not a guarantee of actual resale value, profitability, or recovery.

How to File a Claim

To submit a claim, email sales@palletplazaliquidation.com with your order number.

For standard claims, contact us within 30 days of delivery.

For freight damage, contact us within 48 hours of delivery, and make sure the damage has been documented on the Bill of Lading at delivery.

Please include:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Clear photos of the merchandise and any damage

  • Photos of the shipping packaging or pallets when applicable

  • Your delivery paperwork and Bill of Lading

  • Any other information that may help us evaluate the claim

Our team will respond within 2 business days with return instructions or a proposed resolution.

Do not ship merchandise back before receiving authorization from Pallet Plaza Liquidation.

Do not return merchandise directly to the manufacturer or send merchandise to our office address unless specifically instructed to do so.

If a return is approved, we will provide a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and the appropriate return address. Return locations may vary depending on the facility from which your liquidation lot was shipped.

Replacements & Refunds

For approved claims, Pallet Plaza Liquidation may resolve the claim through:

  • A replacement liquidation lot

  • A partial refund

  • A full refund

The resolution is determined by Pallet Plaza Liquidation based on the circumstances of the claim.

We do not offer exchanges or lot swaps. A covered lot cannot be exchanged for a different liquidation lot simply because the buyer prefers another item mix.

For approved returns, there is no restocking fee, and Pallet Plaza Liquidation will cover the applicable return shipping costs.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 business days after the returned merchandise has been received and inspected.

Material Shortage Claims

A “materially short” shipment refers to missing pallets or other handling units compared with the load sold and shipped to you.

Because liquidation lots sold by Pallet Plaza Liquidation may be unmanifested or sold without a guaranteed piece count, claims based solely on the number of individual items received are generally not considered material shortage claims.

Any item counts or quantities provided in a listing are intended as typical or estimated information and are not guaranteed unless specifically stated otherwise in writing.
